What we know about domestic violence
• it sooner or later destroys relationships
• violent behaviors are learned, and therefore can be unlearned
• behavioral changes can occur with practice
• using nonviolent strategies there is hope for healing and sustaining family relationships
How to recognize domestic violence
• it is a power and control issue
• manipulation, force and coercion are used in:
• physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse and verbal abuse
Who is eligible for the class
• any male from the age of 18 to 80
• volunteers or court ordered
• men that want to save their relationships
• men who want to get in touch with their feelings
